Mr. Tan develops and drives human resource strategies, policies and processes, aligning them with the corporate culture and strategic directions of the company. Mr. Tan was two years with Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts beginning 1994 as human resources director for Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore and regional human resources director for Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Fiji. He rejoined the group in 2003 as group director of human resources. Mr. Tan worked for 15 years as human resources director with the Oberoi Imperial Hotel, the Westin Stamford and the Westin Plaza in his native Singapore.
