Classical Imperial Theme

Enter the world of Imperial China, when the Chinese emperors lived in the famed Forbidden City in Peking. During the evening, be invited to dine in the Emperors’ Gallery, surrounded by large portraits of past rulers and their Empresses. The richness of the portraits is echoed in the table decoration, right down to the jade napkin holders.

On certain nights, the Imperial banquets have specialised entertainers such as Face Changers, Acrobats, Musicians and Chinese Opera Singers. This event comes with all the trappings – large Imperial portraits, temple lions, stage decoration, tablecloths, seat-covers and napkins as well as designs for centrepieces as required. Waiting staff are dressed in Imperial robes.

Dragon Imperial Theme
In the summer, the court of the Chinese Emperor would move from Peking to cooler locations. During these times, great outdoor banquets were held. Here, sit amidst the splendour of the Imperial Courts Dragon Heraldry and soak in the colour and majesty of the event. Silk banners and pendants hang and stand throughout the room; the bright colours of red, gold, blue and Imperial yellow dominate. Tables - round or rectangular-dressed in rich silk cloths are the highlight of this décor, along with Dragon motif chair covers and napkins. The centrepiece of twisted bamboo leaves finishes off the last detail.
Mao Café
These theme presents China Chic at its most daring, with a designer take on revolutionary spectacle. The walls are covered in Communist Party posters from the 1970's and 1980's and freestanding statues of the Great Leader are placed in various poses throughout the room. Colour schemes in Pale Green, Red and Yellow are used to great effect, not only in the wall panels, but also in the tables and chairs. The symbolic yellow star is used as a design feature on walls and tablecloths. Waiters are dressed in Mao-style uniforms to match the theme.
Moulin Rouge
Unashamedly opulent and colourful, this classic French design of Toulouse-Lautrec's famous hideaway will bring guests back to the Paris of 1900. Rich burgundy brocades and velvet drapes, gold statues and crystal chandeliers are the perfect ensemble for an extravagant night out. Can-Can dancers and a slightly risqué floorshow add to the evening's atmosphere. Here is a night for great flamboyant French food and wines served on tables draped in brocade and rich napkins. The Moulin Rouge staff wear classic French outfits.
Old Hong Kong Tea House
A simple and elegant design of the bygone era of Old Hong Kong using pale and muted colours make this an ideal buffet or lunch time event. Tea shops and other old Hong Kong shop fronts, such as Chinese chemists and seafood shops, will surround the venue. Areas for tea and noodle making, and other handicraft objects, make this theme ideal for a corporate welcome cocktail, as well as evening events. Tablecloths in embroidered net with muted blue and green underlays add to the elegance of the setting. Music for the event may be soothing Chinese jazz or a classical Chinese Ensemble. The waiting staff are dressed in stylish uniforms that match the theme and period.
Shanghai 1920

Shanghai in the 1920's was the place to be. Nightclubs and glamorous parties held during this period were much talked about throughout the world. As guests enter the ballroom, they are brought back to the heydays of Shanghai. Colours of gold, bronze, copper and black are predominant, with handpainted pictures from this period adorning the walls. Details such as columns dressed with 1920's figurines and gold palm trees add to the overall atmosphere.

Tables are dressed with bronze cloths and a beautiful Art Deco lamp. Dance to the music of the era with our authentic 1920's Big Band or a smaller and more intimate Jazz Ensemble. The wait staff may be costumed in 1920’s clothing.
