Exploring Shenzhen
About 15 km to the west of Shenzhen are several unique theme parks. China Folk Culture Villages recreates two dozen ethnic minority villages and a number of dwellings; Splendid China puts all of China’s icons and attractions on display in miniature form; Windows of the World recreates many of the world’s most famous structures, including the Eiffel Tower and a miniature Great Wall; and Happy Valley, which offers adrenaline-inducing roller coasters and rides.
