Exploring Taipei
The National Palace Museum in suburban Taipei, fully reopened in December 2006 after extensive renovations to most of the museum complex, is home to the world's largest and most comprehensive collection of Chinese art, with most of the pieces originating from mainland China. Tapestries, paintings, calligraphy, jade carvings, Ming porcelain and much more are displayed on a rotation basis, due to the size of the collection. Check with the concierge for current exhibitions and ticket information.
